The best athletes at CSU-Pueblo were inducted into the new ThunderWolves Hall of Fame on October 30, 2009. A crowd of more than 250 was present. Athletes were recognized for soccer, basketball, baseball, football, track and field and tennis as well as contributor and a special award

By fighting the Mountaineers stubborn defense, the ThunderWolves took the defense down stone by stone. Lewis, a mere 5-foot 6-inches and 165 pounds, rushed 181 yards total and achieved three touchdowns for the team. Converted cornerback Johnson added an additional 99 yards and another touchdown. The team totaled 328 yards rushing, using their offensive line consisting of only freshmen players.
