Pueblo Builders Construct Army Band Complex

A new, modern $6.2 million building project to provide a location for Fort Carson military bands to practice and perform nears completion under direction of Mass Service and Supply of Pueblo. The general contractor teamed with Main Electric, Pueblo Electric, G&H Glass and El Paso Plumbing to construction the band headquarters. The building’s official grand opening was held October 30.

The Corps of Army Engineers, overseers of the building project, awarded an outstanding performance award to the construction team.

The facility meets Silver LEEd certification qualifications and complies with  antiterrorism safety requirements. It boasts rehearsal halls, a recording studio, soundproofed booths for practice, offices, storage areas, locker rooms and other features for the military musicians.

Other Pueblo firms involved in the project were Pueblo Electrics, , a Mass Service and Supply spokesman said.
