flushotOn Halloween, October 31, another H1N1 vaccination clinic was held at the Colorado State Fair Events Center. There will be more clinics scheduled are more vaccine becomes available. Vaccinations are limited to priority qualified candidates until all at-risk vaccinations have been given. As more vaccine becomes available, anyone will be able to get swine flu vaccine.

To qualify for a priority H1N1 vaccination you must fall into one or more of these categories:

- Expectant mothers.
- People who care for infants less than six months of age.
- Children ages 6 months to 18 years of age with health conditions.
- People less than 19 years old who take long-term aspirin therapy.
- Children 6 months to 5 years of age.
- Healthcare workers with direct patient contact with proof of employment.

Helpful tips for your swine flu shot clinic visit:

- If you feel ill, do not go to a flu shot clinic because you will not get a shot.
- You must bring proof of residence in Pueblo County.
- Wear loose fitting clothing which exposes the arms easily.
- Dress for the weather because lines form outdoors.
- Healthcare works must bring proof of employment and position.
